Let's Sip on Momo Cafe

The vibes at Momo cafe were great but lets spill the tea on their food!

Momo Cafe is a counter-service restaurant as well as a full-functioning cafe. It is located in Midtown Atlanta, GA which is about a 30-minute drive from the Kennesaw State University campus. We had to pay for parking in a parking deck but the walk there was less than a minute. They had a variety of food and drink options although they were definitely for the more adventurous eater. The prices were a little high, especially for serving college students. I ordered a butter croissant, a pecan and cinnamon croissant, and a hot chocolate. My friend ordered an orange mocha and a Creme Brulé croissant. My butter croissant was very sticky and had little to no flavor, the pecan and cinnamon had more flavor but was too dry, and you would think I would have great things to say about their hot chocolate which is very hard to mess up. While the hot chocolate came out very pretty the taste was far from that. It was too frothy and had no chocolate taste. My friend was not too fond of her orange mocha but really enjoyed her croissant. While we didn't have much luck with the food or the prices the vibes were great. They have 2 floors the bottom is for the restaurant and cafe where people sit and eat their food and the upstairs is more of a work space. The upstairs space was smaller but filled with many college students. The cafe is right next to the main highway where you can sit and watch from upstairs. The entire space seemed like a nice place to study as the music wasn't insanely loud and there was lots of table space even in the downstairs area. Overall my friend and I agreed we probably would not go back as the drive is too far and the cafe food was not the best either so it would be a waste of time and money with their higher prices. If it was closer I would probably only really go for the vibes and study area. In the end, we learned that just because a cafe has great presentations online and in person does not mean that you will get the taste or quality for what you pay.
